Amazon’s One Medical expands with telehealth services for beauty, wellness, and erectile dysfunction with free medication delivery and upfront pricing for Prime members

Amazon One Medical is ready to help Prime members eradicate fine lines, boost eyelash growth, combat men’s hair loss, and even treat erectile dysfunction as part of a new push into common health, beauty, and lifestyle concerns with upfront pricing and free medication delivery for Prime members.

The telehealth service add-ons are an expansion of Amazon One Medical’s pay-per-visit model, which provides customers with convenient access to care for common conditions such as pink eye or the flu.

“We’re committed to giving customers convenient, affordable care options that put them in control of their health,” said Bergen Penhart, general manager for Amazon One Medical pay-per-visit. “This new offering makes it easy for Prime members to get expert clinical advice and prescribed treatments for common health, beauty, and lifestyle needs, all from the comfort of home.”

Prime members using Prime Rx can access anti-aging skincare treatments starting at $10 per month, men’s hair loss solutions from $16 per month, ED treatments from $19 per month, eyelash growth products from $43 per month, and motion sickness prevention for as little as $2 per use.

“This simple care experience was built to meet the needs of today’s customer,” Amazon Pharmacy chief medical officer Dr. Vin Gupta said. “At Amazon, we’re working to reduce the burden on patients who’d like to move forward with care but may be tired of navigating the hurdles of our health care system, waiting in a long line at the pharmacy, or worried about a surprise bill or medication cost. We’re helping patients re-engage in care, and spend time doing what they love instead.”

The convenience of telehealthcare has also given rise to Amazon One Medical competitors such as Hims & Hers and Ro.

Hims & Hers offers users easy access to treatment for sexual health, hair loss, mental health, and skincare. The platform recently joined the weight loss medication space, offering compounded GLP-1s for those eligible. Ro offers similar, including fertility tests.

The Vitamin Shoppe is also throwing its hat into the ring with Whole Health Rx, a telehealth platform catering to those seeking nutritional supplements and GLP-1 drugs such as Ozempic and Mounjaro, as well as compounded versions of semaglutide and tirzepatide.

On a broader scale, the disenchantment of the American healthcare system has also paved the way for Truemed, a telehealth platform co-founded by Calley Means, that makes it easier to direct tax-free HSA and FSA funds to pay for fitness, health, and wellness products. The platform has partnered with leading brands such as Peloton, 24 Hour Fitness, Hyperice and AG1.

“We started the company looking at this proliferation of Adderall and Viagra being prescribed online,” Means explained. “And we were like, ‘Can we use that same system to prescribe broccoli, Omega-3s and Pelotons?”

His sister, Dr. Casey Means, is also a fierce advocate of health reform. A Stanford University grad and co-founder of metabolic health company Levels, Dr. Means recently joined Calley on Joe Rogan’s podcast, and was a guest last week on HBO’s “Real Time with Bill Maher.”

“We are absolutely missing the forest for the trees in the health and longevity conversation—so focused on the margins and on products,” Dr. Means told Athletech News. “When, in fact, we can get most of the way there by targeting simple elements of our diet and lifestyle towards what actually matters.”
