CapStone Invests in Hoda Kotb’s New Wellness App
Joy 101, Kotb’s fast-growing wellness platform, has already landed $2 million in partnerships and thousands of paid subscribers
CapStone Holdings has made a strategic investment in Joy 101, a personalized multi-modality wellness platform curated by media personality Hoda Kotb, the former co-anchor of NBC’s “Today Show.”
Since its launch in May, the platform has converted 40,000 app sign-ups into 5,000 paying subscribers in its first week, secured $2 million in brand partnerships and ranked as a top app across mobile platforms.
The investment amount wasn’t disclosed.
“At CapStone, we recognize the growing importance of the wellness space and are proud to join Joy 101 and Hoda to inspire healthier, happier lives,” CapStone co-founder Heather Stone said. “Through this meaningful investment, we look forward to spreading joy and sharing science-backed wellness techniques & information through this exciting new platform.”
The app offers personalized daily “joy plans” built from research-backed tools, access to premium courses led by experts, Hoda-hosted events such as retreats and recurring “Happiness Hours” with live conversations and guest speakers.
With new backing, Joy 101 is preparing premium expert content, in-person activations and JoyFest, a full-day wellness event slated for spring 2026.
“Joy 101 is about building a space where women feel seen, supported and inspired—and having CapStone join us on this journey means the world,” Kotb said. “Their support allows us to amplify our mission of delivering joy, science and community in ways that feel deeply personal.”
