Josh Harris-Backed Onelife Fitness To Open 15+ Gyms in North Carolina

Onelife Fitness, a health club chain backed by the investment firm of Washington Commanders owner Josh Harris, is expanding across the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast
Onelife Fitness, backed by 26North, the investment firm led by billionaire Josh Harris, is ramping up its presence in North Carolina with plans to open at least 15 clubs across the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill market over the next several years.
The fitness operator’s second North Carolina location will open in Durham, transforming a former Big Lots site into a 58,000-square-foot health and wellness destination. The club will offer high-end amenities at accessible prices, including a saltwater pool, cold plunge area, saunas, recovery tools like red light therapy and HydroMassage, and more than 70 weekly studio classes such as yoga, Pilates, barre, cycling and Les Mills BodyPump. It will also feature a boxing studio, functional turf training zones and a kids club for families with children as young as three months.
The news follows Onelife’s announcement of an upcoming location in Apex, North Carolina, with additional clubs planned for Virginia, Maryland, Georgia and Alabama. The move expands a footprint that already includes more than 70 locations open or on the way across D.C., South Carolina, North Carolina and West Virginia. Membership includes multi-club access, giving users more flexibility.
“Onelife Fitness began with a humble mission of delivering affordable luxury in fitness—premium services and amenities, quality service and personalized experiences at reasonable prices,” the brand’s CEO Ori Gorfine said. “We are people-first, period. We are dedicated to the care and support of our team members, and we’re inspired to help every person who walks through our doors.
“As we expand within North Carolina and realize our goal of over 15 new locations in the next several years, our commitment to health and fitness is our north star. We are excited to open in Durham-Chapel Hill to bring those communities the ‘Best Value in Fitness,’ one outstanding location at a time,” Gorfine added.
