ISSA and REIGN Expand Scholarship Program to Celebrate Five-Year Anniversary
Partners increase scholarships from 25 to 30, offering more opportunities for aspiring fitness professionals
The International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA) and REIGN Total Body Fuel mark the fifth anniversary of their collaborative scholarship program, which has significantly impacted the careers of aspiring fitness professionals.
Launched in 2020, the ISSA x REIGN Scholarship Program has awarded over 100 ISSA Master Trainer certifications, providing recipients with the education and tools to advance in the fitness industry.
Kurt Mangum II, ISSA’s vice president of strategic partnerships, highlights the program’s success: “Over the past 5 years, our partnership with REIGN has been transformative, empowering more than 100 students to pursue their dreams in fitness education. This milestone underscores our commitment to expanding access to quality fitness education and fostering the next generation of health and wellness leaders.”
To commemorate the fifth anniversary, ISSA and REIGN have increased the annual scholarship awards from 25 to 30 for 2024. Recipients receive a robust education in personal training, nutrition and fitness programming. Additionally, scholarship winners can participate in the ISSA and REIGN Ambassador Programs to further develop their careers.
“This scholarship has given me the tools to take training to new levels for my clients, as well as for myself,” shared Nadine Lee, a 2020 scholarship recipient.
“As a Master Trainer, I’ve completed my personal training certification, as well as specializations in nutrition and transformation. The flexibility and supportive nature of this program have given someone like me, a mom with a separate career, a chance to pursue my passions in fitness.”
Registration for the scholarship opens on Monday, August 12, 2024, and closes on Thursday, August 22, 2024. The first 15 winners will be announced on August 27, 2024. A second application window will open in Q4, with specific dates to be announced in September, and another 15 winners will be selected before the end of the year. ISSA and REIGN seek applicants passionate about fitness and dedicated to enhancing the health and wellness of their communities.
