How Supafitgrow Drove Growth for F45 & Club Pilates Studios

Franchisees across two different brands report an immediate boost to conversions after signing on with the digital marketing agency

Supafitgrow might not power your lights, treadmills or connected fitness machines, but it’s just as vital for fueling membership gains and retention.

The digital marketing agency for gyms and fitness studios has already made a name for itself as a retention and engagement booster. Its never-ending toolbelt of AI-infused solutions includes an identity agent that generates high-end leads, a voice agent that follows up on them, reactivation campaigns to revive accounts and much more, all of which put rapid growth within short reach.

However, those innovations only accomplish so much on their own. It’s the collective impact of smart marketing and lead generation that has Supafitgrow partners talking.

Lead Quality & Quantity

Intent on becoming one of the largest Club Pilates franchise portfolio holders, Kory Angelin, the president of CP Group Holdings, had little patience for lead leakages and underperforming funnels. While those are issues all business owners hope to avoid, he knew he was leaving a few too many potential memberships on the cutting board.

“The biggest challenge in franchising around member acquisition is always lead volume,” Angelin said. “To convert a certain number of memberships, you need a consistent flow of leads — and we were falling short of our monthly goals.”

Angelin shared that most digital advertisers take a cookie-cutter approach to marketing and lead generation, handing over soulless stock photos and video content that doesn’t adequately represent the brand behind them. This makes it difficult for brands to connect to consumers and attract potential new members with genuine interest.

Supafitgrow prides itself on taking the opposite approach, which yields results of the same nature.

“Supafitgrow took a different path,” Angelin said. “They understood that driving both higher lead volume and higher-quality leads required authentic, organic content. They placed our own teams and communities front and center across social platforms and advertising, and developed a strong organic strategy that felt unique to each studio.”

Those efforts increased lead volume by 20% from organic advertisements within the very first month. They also bumped conversion rates from 40% to 60%, according to Angelin.

“They provided our staff with scripts and content ideas for ads,” Angelin added.
“We executed those ideas, sent the content back and Supafitgrow quickly turned it into highly effective campaigns.”

Smooth Integration

Laszlo Vandracsek fell into a similar predicament before linking with Supafitgrow. Lackluster ad campaigns deprived his F45 Training studio in Waco, Texas, of the leads required for growth. It even got to a point where he stopped running ads altogether four months before signing on.

“We didn’t really know what we were doing when it came to digital ads,” Vandracsek said. “We tried things here and there, but nothing was consistent or effective, and we definitely weren’t efficient with spending. Without ads working for us, outreach slowed way down and we struggled to generate the kind of interest we needed to grow.”

Supafitgrow again helped orchestrate a turnaround — not only through its customized, detail-driven approach, but also through its smooth and effortless integration.

“We were already using LoyalSnap and Mindbody, which they were familiar with, and they quickly connected everything to capture leads through Meta,” Vandracsek said. “Onboarding was smooth and easy to follow. They broke things down in detail, and if I had questions about how to navigate Meta or manage things myself, they walked me through it step by step. It didn’t feel like a big disruption at all, more like they plugged right into what we were already doing.”

Along with creating high-quality ads, Vandracsek added that Supafitgrow even kept a “close eye” on any possibly growing stale, enabling them to pivot, refresh and keep things moving to maintain efficient cost per lead rates.

Vandracsek shared that before working with Supafitgrow, new trial members were offsetting cancellations. However, after three months of partnering, Vandracsek’s location began outpacing cancellations. Conversions from trial to membership also increased.

“The quality of the ad content and the structure of the campaigns really set us apart from other gyms in our area,” he said. “The creative looks sharp, the calls to action are simple and the signup flow makes it easier for us to follow up and actually get people into the studio, which is always the hardest step.”

As this sector continues to add players, Vandracsek argues that putting your operation on a high pedestal, such as Supafitgrow’s, is key to outpacing the pack.

“In a competitive market like boutique fitness, especially with a franchise like F45, having a marketing partner that elevates how we present ourselves has made a real difference,” he added.
