From desert yoga and red-rock hikes to ocean-view strength training, Hyatt’s new retreats fuse movement, recovery and nature in immersive three- and four-day getaways

Hyatt Hotels is putting its brand weight behind the wellness tourism trend, unveiling Retreats by World of Hyatt, a limited-time series of immersive wellbeing journeys across U.S. destinations, capturing the attention of travelers seeking curated experiences that go deeper than a beachside vacation.

The three- and four-day retreats fuse expert-led programming with the natural settings of Moab, Zion and coastal California, combining physical activity with workshops, guided exploration and restorative practices:

  • Desert Flow at ULUM Moab (September 25-28, Utah): A glamping-based reset in the high desert with movement coach Hollis Tuttle. Programming includes hikes, mindful recovery, sound baths and tea-blending workshops.
  • Zion Unplugged at Under Canvas Zion (September 25-28, Utah): An off-grid hiking retreat with sunrise yoga, guided trail exploration and fireside storytelling, set under the DarkSky Park.
  • Fitness Performance Retreat at Park Hyatt Aviara (October 9-12, California): A science-backed performance program led by DBC Fitness coaches, spanning conditioning, sleep, nutrition and spa recovery.

“Today’s travelers want more than just a relaxing getaway – they are seeking meaningful experiences that inspire and reconnect them to what matters most,” Hyatt vice president of global wellbeing TJ Abrams said. “At Hyatt, we believe wellbeing is personal, and these retreats are designed to meet guests exactly where they are – offering space, support and tools to recharge mentally, physically and emotionally. Whether you’re just starting your journey or looking to go deeper, these retreats provide the path toward lasting wellbeing. And with more destinations planned for the future, this is just the beginning.”

Hyatt has been layering wellness into its portfolio for years, from its collaboration with Peloton, Miraval Resorts & Spas’ mindfulness programming to its Ayurveda-based detox at Park Hyatt Maldives. Its newer concepts push the idea further. Camp Unwritten, created with Under Canvas and Reese’s Book Club, merges outdoor adventure and storytelling, while Andaz Peninsula Papagayo in Costa Rica hosts retreats with Blue Zones experts, with its next slated for December 7-11.

Availability for the new retreats is limited, with only a set number of spaces per location. Packages can be booked directly through hyattexperiences.com.
