MADabolic Paves Roads Forward for Franchise Partners with Annual Conference

MADabolic’s latest franchise conference serves as a hub for business innovation, setting up the brand for years to come

MADabolic, The Strength Gym, knows that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. That’s why each year, the brand hosts a franchise conference where partners can meet, collaborate and explore new strategies as they further their ownership journeys.

In early October, MADabolic hosted its third conference at its headquarter market in Charlotte, NC. The theme for the event this year was “traction.”

“The theme ‘traction’ was inspired by the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS),” explained Kristi Wass, Vice President of Marketing at MADabolic. “While at the brand level, we are not EOS experts or directly promoting this system, one core idea of this framework that inspired our planning for this event is that success happens when every part of the business aligns and works toward a common goal. When we gain traction, we move forward with purpose.”

Now in the weeks following, MADabolic is pleased to report the event as a success, leading to new findings for attendees and early positive results.

Polishing MADabolic’s Principles

Refortifying MADabolic’s central pillars, those which have helped lift the brand to notoriety as a trending boutique fitness facilitator, was at the top of MADabolic’s “to-do” list with this year’s conference.

“Our goal was simple: to highlight and reestablish the fundamentals that make MADabolic great,” said Wass. “Through a blend of insightful presentations, workshop sessions and engaging networking activities, we emphasized the importance of getting the ‘right people in the right seats,’ getting all team members throughout the system fully bought into our vision and setting clear expectations.”

MADabolic knows achieving this goal won’t just help the brand in the immediate future, but also in the years to come.

“These values create a ripple effect that strengthens every part of the business,” said Wass. “We’re confident the relationships built, knowledge shared and actionable takeaways will translate into tangible results for our franchisees and support our goal of getting back to basics in 2025.”

All Hands on Deck

Unlike MADabolic’s prior franchise conferences, this year’s event invited both franchise owners and general managers, expanding the conversation to include those working in the field day in and day out along with owners.

“We aimed to bring focus to the core of what MADabolic is and find a stronger voice at every level of the organization,” said Wass. “Our success isn’t just about studio-level metrics — it’s about strengthening our culture and building a resilient franchise network. Bringing together our franchise partners and GMs allows us to create an open environment where everyone can exchange ideas, learn from challenges, and celebrate wins.”

Bringing this mass of individuals together in person and under one roof was important to MADabolic. The conference’s team-building events, such as an evening at Rally Pickleball and an evening at the Kimpton Tryon Park’s rooftop bar, Merchant + Trade, scheduled around  speakers and other collaborative meetings helped establish stronger relationships among attendees that otherwise wouldn’t be possible.

“These moments foster a level of camaraderie that you can’t build with a virtual meeting link,” said Wass. “Just like our workouts are designed to build strength through consistency, these events help forge stronger business leaders and tighter ties in our network.”

Future Results

Little time has passed since MADabolic’s annual event. Nonetheless, an impact is already being felt.

“It’s still early, but the energy coming out of the event has been incredible,” said Wass. “We’re already hearing buzz about franchisees focusing more on hiring and retention strategies, redefining clear expectations with their teams and taking steps to ensure every hire is aligned with our vision.”

“As these concepts take hold, we expect to see individual business units grow stronger from the inside out,” Wass added. “The full impact will reveal itself over time, but the connections and insights gained are invaluable and have immediate impact.”

These encouraging returns already have the brand looking forward to next year’s event. Much like those attendees at the conference, MADabolic’s executive-level employees are always learning — keeping an eye out for ways to grow and improve it in the future.

“2025 will mark our fourth annual conference, and each year we’ve found smart ways to expand what we offer through this event,” said Wass. “We’re always learning and evolving, and future conferences will continue to reflect that evolution. From the feedback we’ve already received, we know our network loves to learn tangible takeaways to help enhance the way they do business, and the group thrives on the balance of work and play, so we’ll keep delivering that experience.”

“We’re looking forward to welcoming even more franchise partners and local management teams from new markets at next year’s event as the brand continues to grow,” Wass concluded.
